100% of the proceeds from the sales of the bracelets will go to the Harkins family to help provide support for Eric and his children.
Sarah's Story:
Sarah M. Harkins was a wife and mother of four beautiful children: Liam age 7, Analee age 5, Jude age 3, and Faustina age 1. She was 21 weeks pregnant with another girl, Cecelia Rachel. This past Monday, July 28th, Sarah had an allergic reaction to bee stings which caused a brain aneurism and both Sarah and baby Cecilia passed away.
Sarah was a homeschooling mom, an active member of her parish, and a clay rosary designer. She blogged about her clay creations and life in general at "The Clay Rosary Girl Blog" (http://theclayrosarygirl.blogspot.com/).
The last blog that Sarah published on April 5 2014, was a reflection on the symbol of an anchor.
Sarah wrote:
"I love the symbol of the anchor for hope. It is very powerful. Hope is the virtue of having confidence in God's mercy that we will be in heaven with Him someday. When we have that hope, nothing in life can move us. We are anchored in God. Now that is something I need to pray for everyday and I hope you are inspired and reminded by this bead to pray too."
Based on this reflection, we have created an anchor bracelet to remember Sarah Harkins and to remind us all to anchor ourselves in God, just as Sarah did.
